Tara Tara is thrilled to be a part of House of Courage as it continues to grow and develop. She recently graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Masters in Counseling, and also has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University. Tara has always had a heart for missions and ministry, and from the time she was a kid growing up in Houston she knew that God was equipping and calling her to ministry. She has been involved in multiple national and international missions trips and found her passion for youth working in an inner-city youth ministry in College Station, Texas. The opportunity to serve at the House of Courage is a blessing that allows her to combine her passion for youth and ministry, with her educational training in Psychology and Counseling. From the time she heard about HOC she wanted to get involved because she could see the need in the community as well as the heart of the ministry to serve. This opportunity allows her to support young mothers and teach them that they are capable of being self-sufficient and successful mothers. Most importantly it is a great chance to show love and respect to these young families at a critical time in their lives. Her hope is that Christ will shine through her and reveal himself to everyone that is served or touched by House of Courage. Outside of work, Tara enjoys a variety of activities such as singing, dancing, playing various sports, hiking, skiing, and enjoying time with friends and family. |
